15-10-2014.- The Board of ACES Europe has recently made official in a statement the next three European Capitals of Sport. In this sense, the new cities have been awarded: Prague (Czech Republic), European Capital of Sport 2016; Marseille (France), European Capital of Sport 2017; and Sofia (Bulgaria), European Capital of Sport 2018.
These three cities collect the official appointment on November 19th at the Annual Awards Gala of ACES Europe to be held in the European Parliament (Brussels) and where Torino will be the star because will receive the flag of European Capital of Sport 2015 by Cardiff 2014.
"The three new capitals are worthy of the award having demonstrated an exemplary municipal sports policy across the European Union agreeing now to carry a loaded year of activities for all ages with the goal of increasing the number of practitioners achieving more active citizens in sporting terms, "said Gian F. Lupattelli, president of ACES Europe, following the Board meeting in Brussels where it was announced the result of the awarded capitals.
